Water Risk Assessments

Those responsible for managing commercial or residential premises that contain any water systems are required under law to undertake an L8 legionella risk assessment to assess legionella bacteria risks and safeguard people from exposure. This involves a physical survey of all water related plant and storage systems to check whether conditions are present which will encourage legionella bacteria to multiply. Up to date schematics may be required.

The assessment should be reviewed regularly, based upon risk or whenever there is reason to suspect it is no longer valid.
